Virtual Product Design Placements with IWR!

IWR your virtual workplace offering work experience remotely to EVERYONE, we are all inclusive and give opportunities to all ranges and abilities including individuals with additional needs. We work with schools, colleges, other settings and with individuals, we support everyone. You will get a accredited CPD certificate in Virtual Product Design, demonstrate the skills you develop through your placement. For those wanting support sessions these are  also available.

Our ethos is inclusion, we believe everyone can achieve no matter their circumstances or needs. Everyone can work!

Course details

Designing a sellable product such as clothing accessories like bags or caps, kitchenware or stationery. Watch animations and videos learn about basic business concepts, printing approaches (sublimation printing, digital heat transfer, laser engraving and 3D printing).  Learning to use digital software and traditional art to create a design. Open to all abilities with different resources the course has accessible logbooks for those that need them and is inclusive learning disability suitable. The course has lots of IWR art resources and develops basic work/enterprise skills and if participants can learn how to print-partner with IWR to sell their own designs.

We are a design based Not for profit organisation, you design a product using our online resources, and we print onto your chosen product. Bags, hats, clothes, water bottles, notebooks and more are printed using your designs! We have many IWR art projects and videos to help you get ideas, including videos from professional disabled artists. Use traditional art like painting or photography or use computer design software. We also combine traditional topics like maths with art to create designs or you can create designs in your own way such as using Lego patterns you will learn to photo edit to create abstract art!

Many videos and animations in an easy to follow course, with easy to digest content. We look at the whole process from ideas, marketing, printing approaches, digital design, computer editing, and so much more!

 You also receive support throughout your placement, every step of the way.

When your design is complete, you receive your product, we also sell it on our shop to generate a income to help more people. You work for us!
